stars and planets:

QuestionAnswer
1 Rotate: To spin around an axis.
2 Axis: an imaginary line that runs through the center of Earth from the North Pole to the South Pole.
3 revolve: To travel in a closed path around the sun.
4 Orbit an object's path in space around another object.
5 Moon A small planet-like body that revolves around earth rather than the Sun.
6 Phases As the moon revolves around Earth, different amounts of its lit surface can be seen.
7 solar system: Is a group of objects in space that orbit a star in the center. plus the star itself.
8 planet: Is a large object that revolves around a star in a clear orbit.
9 dwarf planet: Also revolves around a star, but its path is not clear of other objects.
10 comet: A ball of rock, ice and frozen gases.
11 star: A huge ball of superheated gases.
12 sun: A star that is at the center of our solar system.
13 constellation: A group of stars that form an imaginary picture in the sky.
14 galaxy: A huge system of gases, dust, and stars.
15 universe: Everything that exist in space.
