QuestionAnswer
Rotate: To spin around an axis.
Axis: An imaginary line that runs through the Earth from the North pole and South pole.
Revolve: To travel in a closed path around the Sun.
Orbit: An object path in space around another object.
Moon: A small planet-like body that revolves around Earth rather than the Sun.
Phases: As the moon revolves around Earth, different amounts of it's lit surface can be seen.
Solar System: Is a group of objects in space that orbit a star in the center, plus the star itself.
Planet: Is a large object that revolves around a star in a clear orbit.
Dwarf Planets: Also revolves around a star, but its path is not clear orbit.
Comet: A ball of rock, ice and frozen gases.
Star: A huge ball of superheated gases.
Sun: A star that is at the center of our Solar System.
Constellation: A group of stars an imaginary picture in the sky.
Galaxy: A huge system of gases, dust, and stars.
Universe: Everything that exists in space.
