observation the act of noticing and describing events or processes in a careful, orderly way.
inference a logical interpretation based on what scientists already know.
independent variable the variable that is observed and that changes in response to the independent variable called the dependent variable.
dependent variable the factor that you measure and observe in an experiment to see how it changes.
peer review ensure that articles meet the highest standards of quality.
bias a personal, rather than scientific, point of view, or against, something.
constant factor that is kept the exact same throughout an experiment to ensure the results are valid and accurate.
variable any factor, trait, or condition in a living system or experiment that can change, be controlled, or be measured
