| Straightedge | A ruler with no numbers. |
| Sketch | Creating a geometric figure without using tools. |
| Draw | Creating a geometric figure using tools like a ruler for higher accuracy. |
| Construct | Creating a geometric figure using only a compass and a straightedge. |
| Coplanar Lines | Lines that are located in the same plane. |
| Non-Collinear Points | Points that do not all lie on the same line. |
| Skew lines | Lines that do not intersect, are not parallel, and do not share a plane. |
| Ray | A part of a line beginning at a point and extending infinitely in one direction. |
| Endpoint of a Ray | The single point where a ray begins. |
| Line segment | A part of a line including two endpoints and all collinear points between them. |
| Endpoints of a line segment | The points where a line segment begins and ends. |
| Congruent line segments | Two or more line segments of equal measure. |
| Conditional statement | A statement that can be written in the form "If p, then q". |
| Hypothesis | The part of a conditional statement following "if" (represented by p). |
| Conclusion | The part of a conditional statement following "then" (represented by q). |

| Postulate | A mathematical statement taken to be true without proof. |
| Theorem | A mathematical statement demonstrated to be true using logic and accepted operations. |
| Proof | A logical series of statements and reasons leading from a hypothesis to a conclusion. |
| Great circle | The intersection of a sphere and a plane passing through the sphere's center |
| Spherical geometry | A non-Euclidean geometry that substitutes a sphere for a plane. |
| Inductive reasoning | A process of arriving at a conclusion by generalizing a statement from observing patterns. |
| Deductive reasoning | A process of using known true statements and ideas to prove new ones |
| Conjecture | A mathematical statement that appears to be true but has not been formally proved. |
| Angle | A geometric figure formed by two rays showing a common end point. |
| Vertex of an angle | The common end point that the two rays of an angle share. |
| Linear pair postulate | States that if two angles form a linear pair, then the angles are supplementary. |
