observation the act of noticing and describing events or processes in a careful, or orderly way
variable a variable that doesn't change in an experiment
department variable the variable that is observed and that changes in response to the independent variable.
experimental group an organized collective of people, charities, or non-governmental organizations that works to protect, monitor, and conserve the natural environment.
independent variable the factor that you change, control, or manipulate in an experiment to test its effects on another factor
inference a logical interpretation based on what scientists already know
peer review a quality-control process where independent experts in a specific academic or scientific field evaluate a research paper or scholarly work before it is published.
bias a personal, rather then scientific, point of view for, or against, something,
controlled group a controlled group is exposed to the same conditions as the environmental group except for changes in the independent variable
constant something that stays the same without changing, or happens all the time without stopping.
