TermDefinition
Constant Something that is kept the same during the entire experiment and will not be changed.
Control group A group that does not receive a special treatment or experimented on to compare afterwards between experimental group
dependent variable The thing you measure in a experiment to see how it will respond to change
independent variable The part in a experiment where you change or control it to see what happens
Experimental group Receives special treatment, changes or tests a condition for you to compare in a experiment
inference A educated guess based on what you already know.
Observation Gathering evidence through using your 5 senses or scientific tools
peer review Another group of scientists or people review your work before it is published to see accuracy and no errors.
Bias Cheating, flaws or accidents that occur from the true answer
Variable Any factor, trait or condition that can be changed, controlled or be measured in an experiment.
