How long does it take for Earth to spin on its axis ? It takes 24 hours for Earth to rotate on its axis .
How long does it take Earth orbit then sun ? It takes 365 days for the Earth to orbit the sun .
When is it day ? When Earth faces the sun it is day .
When is it night ? When Earth faces away from the sun it is night .
What does the Earths tilt do ? Earths tilt causes some locations on the planet to experience more direct sunlight .
What does the Northern Hemisphere do ? The Northern Hemisphere tilts toward the sun in June July and August which causes us to experience a hot summer .
How does the earths tilt help ? If the Earth did not sit on a tilt we would not experience seasons .
What does the moon do ? The moon orbit around the Earth causing us to see different moon phases .
What do we call it when the Earth orbits around the sun ? When the Earth orbits around the sun we call it revolution .
