1. How long does it take for the Earth to rotate on its axis? It takes 24 hours for the Earth to rotate on its axis.
How long does it take the Earth to rotate around the sun? Its takes 365 days for the Earth to orbit the sun.
What happens when the Earth faces the sun? When Earth faces the sun, it is day.
What happens when Earth faces away from the sun? When Earth faces away from the sun, it is night.
What happens when the Earth is on a tilt? Earth's tilt causes some locations on the planet to experience more direct sunlight.
What causes us to have a hot summer? The Northern Hemisphere tilts toward the sun in June, July, and August, which causes us to have a hot summer.
What would happen if the Earth did not sit on a tilt? If the Earth did not sit on a tilt, we would not experience seasons.
What would happen if the moon did not orbit the Earth? The moon orbits around the Earth causing us to see different moon phases.
What do we call it when the Earth orbits the sun? When the Earth orbits the sun, we call it revolution.
