What is an axis? An imaginary line that runs through the center of the Earth.
What does revolve mean? To travel in a closed path around the sun.
What does rotate mean? To spin around an axis.
What does orbit mean? An object's path in space around another object.
what is the moon? A small planet-like body that revolves around earth rather than the sun.
What are phases? As the moon revolves around earth, different amounts of its lit surface can be seen.
What is a Soller system? It is a group of objects in space that orbit a star in the center, plus the star itself.
What is a planet? It is a large object that revolves around a star in a clear orbit.
What is a dwarf planet? It also revolves around a star, but it's a path that is not clear of other objects.
What is a comet? It is a ball of rock, ice, and frozen gasses.
What is a star? It is a huge ball of superheated gasses.
What is the sun? It is a star that is at the center of our soler system.
What is a constellation? It is a group of stars that form an imaginary pitcher in the sky.
What is a galaxy? It is a huge system of gasses, dust, and stars.
What is a universe? It is everything that exists in space.
