TermDefinition
constant something that stays the same in a experiment.
variable factors that can change in an experiment.
dependent variable the variable that is observed and that changes in response to the independent variable is called the dependent variable.
experimental group a group of people or things to be tested or experimented on. normally a big group.
independent variable the variable deliberately changed is called the independent variable.
inference is a logical interpretation based on what scientists already hypothesis.
observation the act of noticing and describing events or processes in a careful, orderly way.
peer review to look carefully for mistakes, oversights, unfair influences, or fraud, in techniques and analysis.
bias A bias is a personal, rather than scientific, point of view for, or against, something.
