TermDefinition
constant The factors you keep the same throughout the experiment
variable the factors that can change
dependent variable The variable that is observed and that changes in response to the independent variable
experimental group the group in an experiment that the variable is tested
independent variable the variable that is changed on purpose.
inference a logical interpretation based on what scientists already know.
observation The act of noticing and describing events or processes in a carful, orderly way.
peer review scientist share their findings with other scientists and they review their work to make sure there is no errors
bias a personal, rather than specific, point of view for, or against something.
