Reading 6.2 Evidence Stress Test

What is the purpose of the 10 Tests of Evidence? To determine how strong, trustworthy, and useful evidence is
What is Relevance? Whether the evidence actually supports the claim
What is Specificity? Using exact numbers, dates, names, and details instead of vague statements
What is Objectivity? Whether the source is neutral or has a reason to be biased
What is Reliability? The source's track record of providing accurate information
What is Access? Whether the source had direct access to the information
What is Expertise? Whether the source has the education, training, or background needed to understand the subject
What is Timeliness? Whether the evidence is current andstill relevant
What is External Consistency? Whether the evidence agrees with other independent sources
What is Internal Consistency? Whether the evidence agrees with itself and does not contradict iself
What is Cumulativeness? Multiple pieces of evidence that all point toward the same conclusion
