BCL Expectations

How should Cadre be greeted? By name and rank at all times.
What is the exception to repeatedly greeting Cadre? During Lead Lab, once you have greeted all Cadre, you do not greet them again.
How should POC be greeted? Greet all POC by name when both parties are in uniform.
What equipment is mandatory for PMT? Uniform, water bottle, ID, pen, notepad, and digital watch.
What mandatory equipment is not necessary for PT? Pen and notepad.
Who is extra-drill mandatory for? 250s
What must a cadet do if absent from PMT? Submit an absence memorandum.
What are the five BCL training expectations? Core Values; positive attitude; be an example for the 100s; no fear of failure; know your Why.
What attitude is expected during training? A positive attitude.
What attitude toward failure is expected? No fear of failure.
What personal motivation should a cadet know? Their “Why.”
What is the BCL chain of command? Fellow Cadets → CTI → Flight Commander ‘C’/‘D’ → Squadron Commander.
To whom should cadet emails be sent? The FLT/CCs.
Who should be CC'd on cadet emails? The CTI and SQ/CC.
Who handles issues related to PMT events or training? The SQ/CTIs.
Who handles questions not related to PMT events/training? The FLT/CCs.
What is the absence memo title format? Lastname date event Absence MFR.
Example of a properly titled absence memo? Thomas 8-17 LLAB Absence MFR.
What is MS Teams used for within BCL? A wealth of resources regarding rules, regulations, and information.
What must cadets do with Teams messages? Like all Teams messages.
Deadline for liking a Teams message sent at or before 1200? COB that same day.
Deadline for liking a Teams message sent after 1200? 1200 the next business day.
What must cadets avoid doing with Teams templates? Do not edit the original template.
What publication is associated with Form 2? AFH 36-2647.
What is a Verbal Warning? A conversation or reminder of the correct behavior or required actions.
What does RIC stand for? Record of Individual Counseling.
What is an RIC? A description/history of repeated counseling that usually leads to a requested meeting with Cadre.
When may a cadet dispute counseling? If the procedure/level of action was inconsistent with the Cadet Consequence System or otherwise unwarranted.
Who should be emailed to dispute counseling? Wing Command
What must a counseling-dispute email contain? Description of the reasoning for counseling, attached counseling document, and reason for disputing.
What does IG do with a counseling dispute? Talks to the issuer and recipient when necessary, reviews the dispute, and provides a final recommendation to Wing Command.
What must each BCL flight do by 1500 every Friday? Appoint a new FLT/CC and email its respective Flight Commander.
What must the weekly FLT/CC email contain? The incoming FLT/CC and their goals for the upcoming training week.
Who is Wing/CC for PT form-up? C/Pham.
Which flights does BCL form up during Weeks 1–2? Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta.
Which flights does BCL form up during Weeks 3 and beyond? Bravo, Charlie, and Delta.
How much time is allotted for PT form-up? 10 minutes.
When is homework assigned? Thursday
When is homework due? Friday of the following week.
How many signatures does homework require? One signature.
Must homework be handwritten? No
What room is the GMC room? 107
Are 105/106 still the GMC room? No.
What room is the POC room? 108
When may GMC wear sunglasses? Outside of PMT events.
What must cadets do to receive PTGs? Pass the DFA/PFA.
What must cadets do to receive a DET polo? Pass the physical and complete onboarding paperwork.
When is the DFA? September 15.
When is the PFA? October 13.
