John Locke Was a natural rights philosopher who believed in the protection of individual rights that included life, liberty, and poverty, Rejecting the divine right theory.
Baron Charles De Montesquieu In his work, he proposed separating the powers of government so that the powers would not be concentrated in the hands of one person or group of people
Thomas Hobbes He became convinced that a strong monarchy was essential to deal with disorder, in order to keep people from destroying each other they needed to enter a social contract with an absolute monarchy
William Blackstone Had a strong belief in the ten commandments and that Gods law was to be mans law. There for led to him creating the Commentaries on the law of England.
Voltaire Was a French philosopher who wrote the need for freedom of speech and religion toleration
Jean Jacques Rousseau Was a philosopher who created " The Social Contract"
Thomas Aquinas He was a Italian Priest and philosopher who Wrote the book Summa Theologica, a book to prove the most basic religious beliefs to prove God
John Calvin Was a significant leader of the Protestant Reformation who published his ideas in Institutes of the Christian Religion which outlined the Doctrine of predestination and Doctrine of the elect.
Moses He was given the first of Laws, the Ten Commandments. These were important in establishing the legal system of the United States. In which Moses made the Principle of American Laws.
