chemical proprerty a characteristic that can only be observed when the type of matter changes
combustability the chemical property that measures a substances ability to ignite,catch fire, and burn in the presence of oxygen or another oxidizing agent
corrosion the gradual deterioration and break down of a material caused by a chemical or an electrochemical reaction with its einvorment
molecule a particle that contains more than one atom joined together
mixture a physical combonation of two or more substances that are blended together without forming new substances
collid a type of mixture in which the particles of one material are scattered through another and block the passage of without settling out
solution a mixture of substances that are blendeed so completely that the mixture looks the same everywhere
alloy a solution of metal and at least one other solid which is often also a metal
distillation the process of separating the parts of a mixture by evaporation and condensation
