Flashback a sudden, strong memory of a past event.
context is the set of facts, background, or setting that surrounds an event, idea, or statement.
connotative implied meaning, such as the emotional, cultural, or figurative feeling that a word brings
denotative literal meaning
narrative techniques are the specific tools and methods writers use to tell a story, shape the plot, and build characters... such as flashback, foreshadowing and dialogue
plot structure is the organized sequence of events that make up a story.
symbolism is the practice of using an object, person, situation, or word to represent a larger, abstract idea beyond its literal meaning
archetypal story are universal, recurring patterns in plots and characters found across human cultures, myths, and literature.
