BURNS Injury to the skin or other organic tissue caused by heat, electricity, chemicals, radiation, or friction.
Coronary Artery Disease Reduction of blood supply to the heart muscles d/t hardened and narrowed coronary arteries d/t plaque formation/build. AKA Ischemic Heart Disease/Acute Coronary Syndrome
Myocardial Infarction AKA Heart Attack Occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to a part of the heart, causing damage/necrosis to heart muscles Irreversible death (necrosis) of the heart muscle d/t prolonged lack of oxygen supply (ischemia)
Congestive Heart Failure AKA Heart Failure Heart does not beat strongly enough to maintain adequate blood flow to the body systems. Chronic non-curable condition
Septal Defects Hole in the heart which separates the ventricles/atria (VSD, ASD)
Cardiomyopathy Disease in the heart muscle that makes it harder for the heart to pump blood to the body
