What is Properties of Matter? How a material is affected by energy or when chemically combined with other materials
What is Energy Changes? If the material gives off or takes in heat when chemically combined with another material
What are the branches of chemistry? Organic, inorganic, biochem, theoretical, & physical
Define Organic Chemistry Study of carbon-containing compounds
Define Inorganic Chemistry Study of non-organic substances; has few to no carbons
Define Physical Chemistry Study of the properties & changes of matter & their relation to energy
Define Biochem Study of substances & processes occurring in living things
Define Theoretical Chemistry The use of mathematics & computers to understand the principals behind observed chemical behavior & to predict properties of new compounds
