| Acromegaly | Abnormal enlargement of the extremities. |
| Adrenarche | Beginning of adrenal secretion (at puberty). |
| Adrenocorticohyperplasia | Overdevelopment of the cortex of the adrenal gland. |
| Cholangiopancreatograp | Procedure used to examine the bile ducts and pancreas. |
| Euglycemia | Good blood sugar. |
| Anisocytosis | Condition characterized by a great inequality in the size of red blood cells. |
| Apheresis | A process where blood is drawn from a person, run through a machine that separates it into parts from red cells, plasma, or platelets, and the remaining components are returned to the body. |
| Asplenia | Absence of a spleen or of spleen function. |
| Ecchymosis | A large bruise. |
| Embolism | Blockage in a blood vessel caused by an embolus (mass or matter in the blood). |
| Ischemia | Blockage of blood flow to an organ. |
| Epicardium | Tissue lining the outside of the heart. |
| Occlusion | Closing or blockage of a passage. |
| Pericardial effusion | Fluid pouring out into the tissue around the heart. |
| Thrombolytic | Drug that breaks down clots. |
