| Term | Definition |

| Frame of reference | A set of coordinates or a perspective from which an observer measures and describes physical events, helps in understanding |
| Relative motion | The movement of an object as observed from another moving object. It's about how the motion of one thing appears different depending on the motion of the observer |
| Distance | The amount of space between two points or objects, how far apart things are, follow the path |
| Vector | A quantity that has both magnitude and direction, used by the symbol arrow |
| Resultant Vector | The single vector that represents the combined effect of two or more vectors, overall results of vectors |
| Displacement | Distance between starting point and ending point, could be zero if starting point and ending point are the same |
| Direction | North, South, East, West, compass rose |
