DNA The molecule the contains the instructions for life.
GENE A senction of DNA that contains instructions for a specific trait or funstion.
CHROMOSOME A tightly coiled package of DNA and proteins found in the nucleus of a cell.
TRAIT A characteristic or feature of an organism, such as eye color or hair color.
INHERITED A characteristic or gene that is passed from parents to offspring.
HEREDITY The passing of traits from parents to their offspring.
NUCLEUS The part of a cell that contains the chromosomes.
