QuestionAnswer
DNA The molecule that contains the instructions for life.
Gene A section of DNA that contains instructions for a specific trait or function.
Chromosome A tightly coiled package of DNA and proteins found in the nucleus of the cell.
Trait A characteristic or trait of an organism, such as eye color or hair color.
Inherited A characteristic or gene passed from parent to offspring.
Heredity The passing of traits from parents to their offspring.
Nucleus The part of the cell that contains the chromosomes.
