TermDefinition
DNA The molecule that contains the instructions for life.
Gene A section of DNA that contains instructions for a specific trait or function.
chromosome A tightly coiled package of DNA found in nucleus of cell
trait A characteristic or feature of an organism such a as eye color or hair
inherited a characteristic or gene that is passed from parents to offspring
heredity The passing of all traits from parents to their offspring's
Nucleus The part of a cell that contains the chromosomes.
