vocabulary

force a push or a pull that can act on or change an object

motion a change in an object's location
speed a measure of how fast or slow something travels
distance how far something travels
friction a force that goes against the movement of an object
gravity the force that pulls objects toward each other
contract force a push or pull that happens when two objects are touching
tension force the pulling force that stretches an object
friction a force that goes against movement of an object
noncontact force a force that acts on an object without touching it
spring force is exerted by an object that has been stretched or squeezed.
