1. Address The numbers and street name that describes where a person lives.
2. Axis The imaginary line that runs through the center of earth from the North Pole to the South Pole.
3. Cardinal directions the four main directions north, south, east and west.
4. Compass rose the diagram on the map that shows the points of direction.
5. Continents the seven main areas of land on earth.
6. Globe a model of earth
7. Grid map a map that uses letters and numbers
8. Key the list of symbols on the map and what they stand for
9. Legend the list of symbols on the map and what they stand for
10. Map shows objects from above in smaller size and in relation to other objects
11. North Pole the northernmost part of earth
12. Oceans the four main bodies of earth
13. Scale shows how big the object on the map is compared to the real object
14. South Pole the most southernmost part of earth
15. Symbol something that represents an object or idea
