6 globe a model of earth
7 grid map a map that uses letters and numbers in boxes to describe the location of objects
8 key the list of symbols on the map and what they stand for
9 legend the list of symbols and what they stand for
10 map shows the objects from above in smaller size in relation to other objects
11 north pole the northernmost part of earth
12 oceans the four main bodies of water on earth
13 scale shows how big the object is on the map is compared to other objects
14 south pole the southernmost part of the earth
15 symbols something that represents an object or idea
