pervade To spread all through a place so it is noticed everywhere.

mutiny When a group of people (like sailors or soldiers) rebels against their leader.
grotesque Super ugly, twisted, or strange-looking.
capsize To flip over or overturn in the water (usually a boat).
vague Unclear or not having enough details.
trudge To walk slowly and heavily because you are tired or walking through something tough like mud or snow.
ravage To cause a lot of damage or completely ruin something.
stalwart Very loyal, reliable, and strong.
stoic Staying calm and not showing your feelings or complaining when things are tough.
repress To hold back or hide a feeling, thought or reaction.
maniacal Wild, crazy, or acting completely insane.
painstakingly Done very carefully with a ton of attention to detail.
lilting Having a happy, rhythmic, or bouncy sound (like a cheerful voice or tune).
refinement Politeness, good manners, or making small changes to improve something.
pedestrian Boring, ordinary, or lacking excitement.
infuriate To make someone extremely angry.
condescending Acting like you are smarter or better than someone else.
contrite Feeling truly sorry and guilty for doing something wrong.
