1 Address The numbers and street name that describes where a person lives
2 Axis The imaginary line that runs through the center of earth from the North Pole to the South Pole.
3 Cardinal Directions The four main directions - North, South, East and West.
4 Compass Rose The diagram on the map that shows the points of direction.
5 Continents The seven main areas of land on earth.
6 Globe A model of the earth.
7 Grid map A map that uses letters and numbers in boxes to describe the location of objects.
8 Key The list of symbols on the map and what they stand for.
9 Legend The list of symbols on the map and what they stand for.
10 Map Shows objects from above in smaller size, and in relation to other objects
11 North Pole The northernmost part of earth.
12 Oceans The four main bodies of water on earth.
13 Scale Shows how big the object on the map is compared to the real objects.
14 South Pole The southernmost part of earth.
15 Symbol Something that represents object or idea.
