| legend | the list of symbols on a map and what they stand for |
| map | shows objects from above in smaller size, and in relation to other objects |
| north pole | the northernmost part of earth |
| oceans | the four main bodies of water on earth |
| scale | shows how big the object on the map is compared to the real object |
| south pole | the southernmost part of earth |
| symbole | something that represents an object or idea |
