Addison Diseases A condition where the adrenal glands do not make enough certain hormones
Hodgkin Lymphoma A type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system
Epidermis The outermost layer of the skin that protects the body
Dermis The layer of skin underneath the epidermis that contains blood vessels, nerves, hair follicles, and glands
Melanin A pigment that gives the skin, hair, and eyes their color and helps protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation
Sebaceous Gland A gland in the skin that produces oil called sebum
Sweet Gland A gland that produces sweet to help cool the body and removed small amounts of waste
Arthritis Inflammation of a joint that can cause pain, sweating, and stiffness
Osteoporosis A condition that causes bones to become weak and more likely to break
Fracture A break or crack in a bone
Tendinitis Inflammation of a tendon, usually causing pain and tenderness
Scoliosis An abnormal sideways curvature of the spine
Neuropathy Damage or dysfunction of a nerve or group of nerves
Neuralgia Sharp or severe pain that follows the path of a nerve
Meningitis Inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord
Enephalitis Inflammation of the brain
Seizure A sudden burst of abnormal electrical activity in the brain that can affect movement, behavior, or awareness
Cataract A clouding of the lens of the eye that can make vision blurry
Glaucoma A group of eye conditions that can damage the optic nerve and lead to vision loss
Otitis Inflammation or infection of the ear
Tinnitus Hearing sounds such as ringing or buzzing when there is no outside source
Anosmia Loss or absence of the sense of smell
Diabetes Mellitus A condition in which the body has trouble controlling blood glucose levels
Hyperthyroidism A condition in which the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone
Hypothyroidism A condition which the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone
Adrenalectomy Surgical removal of an adrenal gland
Pancreatitis Inflammation of the pancreas
Lymphadenopathy Abnormal enlargement of the lymph nodes
Lymphoma Cancer that begins in the lymphatic system
Lymphedema Swelling caused by a buildup of lymph fluid in the tissues
Lymphadenitis Inflammation of the lymph nodes
Splenomegaly Enlargement of the spleen
Hypertension Abnormally high blood pressure
Bradycardia An abnormally slow heart rate
Tachycardia An abnormmally fast heart rate
Cardiomyopathy A disease of the heart muscle that can affect how well the heart pumps blood
Atherosclerosis A condition in which fatty deposits build up inside the arteries
