Magma hot melted rock beneath the Earth’s surface
Minerals a non–living substances found naturally in or on Earth
Tectonic Plates large areas of Earth’s crust that move over the mantle and fit together to form the planet’s surface
Inner core Center of the earth, solid which is made of iron and nickel
Outer core Outside of the inner core, made of liquid iron and nickel
Mantle Widest layer, made of hot magma
Crust Outermost layer of the earth, all living things live on this level
Divergent Plates move away from each other
Convergent Plates move together
Transform Plates slide along each other
Fossils Pieces or imprints of other organisms preserved from millions of years ago
Minerals Nonliving substance that occurs naturally on earth
