Alzheimer's disease A progressive brain disorder that affects memory, thinking and behavior
Parkinson's disease A progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement, often causing tremors and stiffness
Achilles tendon The tendon connecting the calf muscles to the heel bone
Down syndrome A genetic condition caused by an extra copy of chromosome 21, affecting physical and cognitive development
Adam's apple The cartilage that forms a visible bump in the front of the throat, more prominent in males
Epidermis The outer layer of the skin
Dermis The layer of skin beneath the epidermis, containing blood vessels, nerves, and follicles
Subcutaneous Located beneath the skin
Melanocyte A skin cell that produces melanin, the pigment responsible for skin color
Dermatitis Inflammation of the skin
