| Rhinoplasty | a plastic surgery procedure that reconstructs, reshapes, or modifies the nose |
| Tracheostomy | a surgical procedure that creates an opening in the neck and into the trachea also known as the windpipe |
| Nasopharynx | the uppermost section of the throat, located directly behind the nasal cavity and above the soft palate |
| Alveoli | microscopic, balloon-shaped air sacs located at the very end of the tiny branches of the airways in your lungs |
| Gingivitis | the mildest, most common form of gum disease, characterized by inflammation of the gingiva |
| Esophagitis | inflammation, irritation, or swelling of the esophagus |
| Gastritis | the inflammation of the protective lining of the stomach |
| Duodenectomy | the surgical excision of all or part of the duodenum |
| Colonoscopy | a diagnostic and preventive medical procedure that uses a thin, flexible, lighted tube (colonoscope) with a camera to examine the entire large intestine, including the rectum and colon |
| Vesiculotomy | a surgical procedure that involves making an incision into the seminal vesicles, which are fluid-producing glands located behind the male bladder |
| Urethritis | the inflammation of the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body |
| Orchiopexy | a surgical procedure to move an undescended testicle into the scrotum and permanently secure it there |
| Spermicide | a chemical contraceptive inserted into the vagina before sexual intercourse to prevent pregnancy |
| Dysuria | pain, burning, or discomfort when urinating |
