| ketosis | a metabolic state that occurs when your body burns fat for energy instead of glucose |
| glycemia | the concentration or presence of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream |
| amenorrhea | is the absence of a menstrual period |
| anemia | a condition characterized by a lack of enough healthy red blood cells or insufficient hemoglobin in the blood |
| embolism | a sudden blockage of a blood vessel by a traveling mass |
| leukopenia | is the medical term for having an abnormally low number of white blood cells (WBCs) in your blood |
| polycythemia | a medical condition where your body produces too many red blood cells, causing your blood to thicken |
| asplenia | the absence of normal spleen function or the physical absence of the spleen itself |
| cardiac arrest | a sudden, unexpected loss of heart function, breathing, and consciousness |
| coronary artery | the network of blood vessels that supply the heart muscle with the oxygen-rich blood it needs to pump continuously |
| capillaries | the smallest type of blood vessel in the body |
| pectoralgia | is a medical term that translates to pain in the chest |
| hemorrhage | heavy or uncontrolled bleeding |
