JapaneseExplanation
~みたいです "Looks like ~ / Is like ~" — Resemblance or casual inference. Ex: 子(こ)どもみたいです。
~ましょう "Let's do ~" — Suggest doing something together. Ex: 行(い)きましょう。
~てしまいました "Ended up doing ~ / Did ~ (done and can't undo it)" — Expresses completion, often with a hint of regret. Ex: 忘(わす)れてしまいました。
~続(つづ)けます "Continue doing ~" — Attach to verb stem. Ex: 勉強(べんきょう)し続(つづ)けます。
~のをやめます "Quit / stop doing ~" — Attach の to dictionary form verb. Ex: お酒(さけ)を飲(の)むのをやめます。
~ようになりました "Came to be able to ~ / Gradually started doing ~" — Shows a gradual change in ability or habit over time. Ex: 日本語(にほんご)が話(はな)せるようになりました。
~始(はじ)めます "Start doing ~" — Attach to verb stem. Ex: 勉強(べんきょう)し始(はじ)めました。
~やすいです "Easy to do ~" — Attach to verb stem. Ex: この本(ほん)は読(よ)みやすいです。
~にくいです "Difficult to do ~" — Attach to verb stem. Ex: この漢字(かんじ)は覚(おぼ)えにくいです。
たぶん~でしょう "Probably ~ / It's likely ~" — Express probability or conjecture. Ex: たぶん雨(あめ)でしょう。
~ても "Even if ~ / Even though ~" — Concessive condition; the result happens regardless. Ex: 雨(あめ)でも行(い)きます。
~からです "It's because ~" — State the reason as the main point (used at end of sentence). Ex: 日本(にほん)に住(す)んでいるからです。
~人(ひと)(relative clause) "A person who ~" — Place a verb/adj clause directly before a noun to modify it. Ex: 日本語(にほんご)を勉強(べんきょう)している人(ひと)。
