Prescription Component Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Prescribers Information Full name, address, phone number, and other identifying information about the DR
Date The date when the prescription was written. This date differs
Patient Information Full legal name, address, and DOB of patient
RX (symbol) originating from the Latin word "recipere" meaning "to take".
Inscription The medication prescribed/the contents that go INsidethe vial/bottle
Subscription The information that gets SUBmitted to the pharmacist. (medication, refills, dosage)
