Why were the Middle Colonies called the “bread basket of the New World?” Their families fed ALL the colonists
How many “houses” (groups) were in the government of the Middle Colonies? 2

Who selected leaders for the lower house? The people voted
Who could vote Only men
Who could be elected for office? Only men
What could the governor/king do with laws he didn’t like? Reject them
