What was John Smith’s motto? Work or starve
Who did John Smith ask for help? Powhatan Tribe
What did the Powhatan tribe end up doing to the colonists and why? Burned their crops & killed their animals because they were afraid the English would take over
What was the first winter in Jamestown called? Starving Time
The colonists were about to leave and go back to England. What stopped them? A new ship with supplies and colonists arrived
