What is organizing? Coordinating and allocating a firm's resources so it can achieve it goals
What is an organization? The order and design of relationships within a company
Why is organizing important? It helps employees work efficiently toward common goals
What is division of labor? Breaking work into smaller, specialized tasks
What is specialization? The degree to which work is divided into smaller jobs
What is departmentaliation? Grouping jobs and people into organizational units
What are the five types of departmentalization? Functional, Product, Process, Customer, and Geographic
Functional departmentalization is based on what? Business functions like marketing, finance, and production
