Susan has 1.74lbs of apples, her brother takes 1.38lbs of apples. How many pounds of apples does Susan have now? 0.36 1.74-1.38 is 0.36
What is 24 × 15? 360 Multiply 24 × 10 = 240 and 24 × 5 = 120. Then add 240 + 120 = 360.
What is 144 ÷ 12? 12 Since 12 × 12 = 144, the quotient is 12.
What is 3/4 + 1/4? 1 The denominators are the same, so add the numerators: 3 + 1 = 4. 4/4 = 1.
What is 6.7 + 2.8? 9.5 Line up the decimal points and add: 6.7 + 2.8 = 9.5.
A rectangle is 8 inches long and 5 inches wide. What is its area? 40 square inches Area = length × width. 8 × 5 = 40.
A rectangle has a length of 9 cm and a width of 4 cm. What is its perimeter? 26 cm Perimeter = 9 + 9 + 4 + 4 = 26 cm.
What is 6 + 4 × 3? 18 Multiply first: 4 × 3 = 12. Then add 6 + 12 = 18.
A rectangular prism has a length of 4 cm, a width of 3 cm, and a height of 2 cm. What is its volume? 24 cubic centimeters Volume = length × width × height. 4 × 3 × 2 = 24.
What is 20% of 50? 10 20% means 20 out of 100. Multiply 50 × 0.20 = 10.
Sarah has 48 stickers. She gives 19 to her friend. How many stickers does she have left? 29 sticker Subtract 19 from 48. 48 − 19 = 29.
