Convenience outlets are electrical sockets where appliances and devices are plugged in to receive electric power.
Circuit breakers and panels are safety devices that control and protect electrical circuits by automatically stopping the flow of electricity when there is overload or short circuit.
Electronics Service involves working with low voltage devices that control, process, or transmit signals.
Radios and televisions are electronic devices used for communication and entertainment by receiving and displaying sound and images.
Computers and mobile phones are electronic devices used for communication, information processing, and accessing digital services.
Audio and video equipment are electronic devices used to record, amplify, and play sound and images for entertainment or presentations.
Electronic control boards are circuit boards that control the operation of machines and devices by processing electrical signals.
Electrical vs. Electronics Services •Electrical Services: Uses high voltage, Focus on power supply, Wiring and lighting, Heavy components •Electronics Services: Uses low voltage, Focus on signal control, Devices and circuits, Small components
Voltage (V) is the electrical pressure that pushes electric current through a circuit.
Current (I) is the flow of electric charge through a conductor.
Resistance (R) is the opposition to the flow of electric current in a circuit.
Power (W) is the rate at which electrical energy is used or consumed.
Ohm’s Law Relationship between voltage, current, and resistance.
Amperes (A) Unit of electric current,
Ohm (Ω) unit of electrical resistance,
Volts (V) unit of electrical voltage.
Watt (W) unit of electrical power.
Ohm’s Law Formula V=I×R

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.

If you've accidentally put the card in the wrong box, just click on the card to take it out of the box.

You can also use your keyboard to move the cards as follows:

If you are logged in to your account, this website will remember which cards you know and don't know so that they are in the same box the next time you log in.

When you need a break, try one of the other activities listed below the flashcards like Matching, Snowman, or Hungry Bug. Although it may feel like you're playing a game, your brain is still making more connections with the information to help you out.
