Function of the circulatory system Acts as a transport system, bringing nutrients like O2 to cells & tissue & getting rid of cellular waste like CO2.
Heart Hollow muscular organ the size of your fist, weighs less than 1 pound and acts as a pump & is responsible for the circulation of blood through the blood vessels throughout the body to all organs & tissues, a VITAL function.
Position of the Heart The heart is a four chambered pump located between the lungs in the middle of the thoracic cavity. (Tilts slightly to the left)
