Urine and other Non Blood Specimen Test

NP (Nasopharyngeal secretions) detect microorganisms including whooping cough (pertussis)
Serous fluid pale yellow fluid that surrounds pericardium, too much results in a condition called ascites
Sputum can be stained and used in detection of TB
Sweat is collected and the amount of chloride is tested, used to diagnose cystic fibrosis
Ova and parasite is not suited for refrigeration
Hair samples can detect drugs of abuse and heavy metals
Nail clippings can test for heavy metals
