What is the base metric unit for volume? Liter (L)
What prefix means 10³? kilo (k)

What is density? Mass divided by volume.
What is the formula for density? D = m/V

What is a homogeneous mixture? A mixture with uniform composition throughout.
What is a heterogeneous mixture? A mixture with nonuniform composition.
What is a physical change? A change that does not alter chemical identity.
What is a chemical change? A change that forms new substances.
What is the Law of Conservation of Mass? Matter cannot be created or destroyed.
What is the Law of Conservation of Energy? Energy cannot be created or destroyed.
What is kinetic energy? Energy of motion.
What is potential energy? Stored energy.
What is the charge of a proton? +1
What is the charge of a neutron? 0
What is the charge of an electron? −1
What is the atomic number? Number of protons.
What is the mass number? Number of protons plus neutrons.
What are isotopes? Atoms of the same element with different numbers of neutrons.
How do you find the number of neutrons? Mass number − atomic number.
What is the speed of light? 3.00 × 10⁸ m/s
What is the relationship between frequency and wavelength? They are inversely proportional.
What equation relates wavelength and frequency? c = λν
What is the electron configuration of Hydrogen? 1s¹
What is the electron configuration of Helium? 1s²
What is the electron configuration of Carbon? 1s² 2s² 2p²
What is the electron configuration of Oxygen? 1s² 2s² 2p⁴
