Jamestown The first permanent English settlement in North America.
Settlement A new place where people come to live.
Pocahontas Powhatan's daughter who helped the English settlers at Jamestown.
Christopher Newport An English explorer who brought people and supplies to Jamestown.
Powhatan A Native American leader who was in charge of many tribes when Jamestown was started.
Contribution The act of giving or doing something for others.
Explorer A person who travels and explores new places.
