| Delirious | State of extreme mental confusion Synonym= Irrational, lightheaded Antonym= Rational, Sane The man was delirious while speaking and I couldn't understand much he said. |
| Stricken | Affected mentally or physically in a negative way Synonym= Hurt, Sick or injured Antonym= Unaffected, healthy, whole I was stricken with grief after my friend past away. |
| Clad | Dressed , equipped with an outer layer Synonym= Covered, protective coating Antonym= Naked or bare I was clad in a polo shirt and jeans. |
| Stupor | A state of reduced mental function Synonym= Mental daze, extreme awareness Antonym= Alert or energetic I was acting stupor after I hadn't ate enough |
| Leery | Cautious Synonym= Hesitant, Skeptical Antonym= Confident or trusting I was leery when I approached my teacher because I didn't want to embarres my self by getting the wrong answer. |
| Contract | To become smaller to tighter Synonym= To shrink, reduce Antonym= Grow or expand His muscles contract when he lifs the heavy weight. |
| Underprivileged | People who lack the normal amount of money, education or other disadvantages Synonym= Disadvantaged, low-income Antonym= Wealthy, rich, spoiled The underprivileged students have a hard time affording lunch everyday. |
| Taut | Pulled or firm Synonym= Tight or stiff Antonym= Loose or a lot of slack When the two teams were pulling on the rope it became taut. |

| Veered | To change directions suddenly Synonym= Divert, re-route Antonym= Continue, stay the same The bus veered because of the blocked off road. |
| Acquitted | Cleared Synonym= Innocent Antonym= Guilty The suspect was aquitted and the trial came to an end. |
