background info in "the day the bombs fell", a girl's life suddenly turns upside down when the area she loves in gets attacked. " The boy in the striped pajamas", a boy called Bruno has a friend who is in a camp but doesn't understand why.
Thesis statement these two children live at all times because they can go from being safe to unsafe in an instant which also cause their inno to be taken
topic sentence These two excerpts shows us how a child's life can go upside down, causing them to feel unsafe in an instant
transition word for example
evidence #1 "Suddenly, we heard the sound of low flying plane..."
explain. This shows how the girl in the excerpt "source 1" morning going from safe to unsafe in a single second.
transition word Like in the story
evidence #2 (part 2) Bruno mentions how he wants to be a soldier. Shmuel says his opinion on it because he himself knows well how soldiers act.
explain once more. By Bruno saying this, it can somewhat make Shmuel uncomfortable because all the people inside the fence with him know well how the soldiers act.
concluding sentence Both kids lives now revolve against whether they're unsafe or not. Whether it was a surprise attack or a camp.
topic sentence #2 These two kids' innocence is being robbed since they don't fully understand what's going on.
transition word In "source 1"
evidence #3 (part 3) The girl is more worried for her dog than the actual situation going on. "Dad stop! I can't go without Hula girl!"
explanation AGAIN. This shows that her inno is getting taken away by just having to evacuate a dangerous area and to leave everything behind.
transition Meanwhile
evidence #4 (part 4) Bruno doesn't understand why Shmuel is there., which causes Shmuel to say "I don't think you realize just how much people live on this side of the fence."
explain AHhHHHh Shmuel tries to ground Bruno into reality with those words. Bruno is innocent in thinking what Shmuel is going through is normal, even though Shmuel knows it's not
concluding yayyy These kids show their innocence by being naive to the events going on around them. They can't grasp what's going on around them.
thesis re-statement These two children go through a lot. Danger is always around in their lives which might make them feel unsafe and scared. Inno is being taken away by having to flee or be exposed to the horrible truth.
further summary My Topic is significant because were talking about children here. These kids haven't done anything wrong. They've just existed, but they had to get tied up in this mess that wasn't even their fault to begin with.
closing sentence In the end, The two kids live in danger constantly. They didn't ask for it, but here they are. Danger and inno is what the two kids shared under different circumstances.
