What can the human eye only detect? Limited range of frequencies (Visible light)
When do waves become more dangerous? When frequency increases
Danger of microwaves? Internal heating of body cells
Danger of Infrared? Skin burns
Danger of ultraviolet? Skin cancer
Danger of X-rays and gamma rays? Cell mutation
What can radio waves be produced by or induce? Oscillations in electrical circuits
What can changes in atoms and nuclei generate? Radiations over a wide frequency range
What can changes in atoms and nuclei be caused by? Absorption of a range of radiations
