Constant of porportionality A constant ratio or unit rate of two variable quantities
constant of variation The constant ratio in a direct variation.
constant rate of change The rate of change between any two points in a linear relationship
corresponding parts Parts of congruent or similar figures that are in the same relative position
direct variation a relationship between two variable quantities with a constant ratio
initial value The starting value in a real world situation
linear equations an equation with a graph that is a straight line
linear relationships a relationship for which the graph is a straight line
rate of change a rate the describes how one quantity changes in a relation
rise the verticle change between any two points on a line
run the horizontal change between any two points on a line
similar figures Figures that have the same shape but not the same size
slope The rate of change between any two points on a line
slope intercept form an equation written in the form y=mx+b
slope triangles right triangles that fall on the same line on a coordinate plane
