| What is an MCI? What does MCI stand for? | Mass casualty incident. Number of patients exceeds the number of responders immediately on scene. (2 or more patients) |
| What do the responders first on scene do in an MCI? | Assess the scene, call for backup, establish incident command and begin the triage process. |
| What are the four statuses you're checking a person over when triaging? | Breathing, respiratory, perfusion and mental. |
| What does a red triage tag mean? | Transport immediately |
| What does a yellow triage tag mean? | Transport can be delayed |
| What does a green triage tag mean? | Minor, can be transported later, not immediately life threatening injuries. |
| What does a black triage tag mean? | Dead or expected to be dead. (Not breathing.) |
| What is an CBRNE incident? What does it stand for? | Incidents involving hazardous materials. Chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive. |
